Why did my payment fail?
On this page
Most failed payments are refused by the bank or card issuer, not by us. The message you see says which step failed.
Common reasons
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| The security code (CVC) is wrong | Check the three or four digits on the card and try again. |
| The billing address doesn't match | Use the address your bank has on file for this card. |
| The bank's 3-D Secure check didn't pass | Try again and approve the payment in your banking app. |
| The card was declined | Ask your bank why, or use another card or another way to pay. |
A renewal didn't go through
If your bank declines a renewal, your plan is paused and we email you. Open Billing, add a card or choose another payment method, and pay the open invoice. Your plan picks up where it left off.
Still stuck
Open a ticket from Support with your order number. We can see the payment attempt and tell you what happened.
