# Balance and automatic top-ups

Your balance is money you add to your account in advance. It never expires.

## What balance pays for

- Plan renewals, when you turn this on in [Billing](https://www.osintcat.net/billing). The balance is taken off your next renewal.
- Lookups after your plan's included amount is used up, when you allow it in Billing.
- Gift codes from the [Store](https://www.osintcat.net/store).

## Automatic top-ups

If your balance won't cover a plan renewal, an automatic top-up adds what is missing 3 days before the renewal, at least €5. Turn it on in [Billing](https://www.osintcat.net/billing) and choose the payment method it uses.
