# I can't sign in

## You forgot your password

1. Open [Account recovery](https://www.osintcat.net/forgot).
2. Enter the email address on your account.
3. We email you a 6-digit code. Enter it and choose a new password.

If the email doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder.

## You usually sign in with another service

If you created your account with a sign-in button, such as Discord or GitHub, use the same button again on the [sign-in page](https://www.osintcat.net/login). The email address of that service must be verified.

## You lost your two-step verification device

If you added more than one method, such as an authenticator app and a passkey, sign in with the other one. If you have no other method left, open a ticket from [Support](https://www.osintcat.net/support) and tell us which account it is. Write from the email address on the account.

## A new location needs approval

When you sign in from somewhere new, we may email you a link to approve it. Open the link, then go back to the sign-in page.
